At Women's Wellness Clinic, we offer both NHS and private prescribing options for your HRT treatment. We understand that the cost of medication can be a factor, and we strive to provide you with transparent and flexible options.

We are happy to work with your NHS GP to take over prescribing the HRT regimes we suggest, which they are usually happy to do (we are NHS GPs ourselves). However, there may be instances where a private prescription is necessary, such as when prescribing off-license medications (always in keeping with BMS best practices) or when prescribing testosterone, which often requires specialist prescribing within the NHS. Therefore, there may be times we need to give you a private prescription, or indeed you may just for ease choose to get your prescriptions privately.

When you choose private prescriptions, you have the flexibility to choose your preferred pharmacy. We can either send the prescription directly to your home or provide you with a written prescription to take to the pharmacy of your choice (if we see you in clinic). You will then pay for the medication itself and this price is dependent on the pharmacy you choose (the price is subject to change). 

We do not charge a private prescription fee if the prescription is generated from an appointment. However, if you choose to pay for a private prescription every 3 months, we charge a £40 administration fee.
